This is an honor-system, self-serve activity. Thank you for your cooperation.

Start/Stop Times:
This year-round event can be walked daily from January 1 to December 31, 2010.

Access to the library is only available during normal business hours:

Monday & Tuesday: 9:30 am-8 pm
Wednesday & Thursday: 9:30 am-6 pm
Friday & Saturday: 9:30 am-5 pm
Sunday: 1 pm-5 pm

The library is closed on holidays.

Parking:
Available in the parking lot in front of the library.

Pets:
Dogs are allowed, on a leash, with clean-up.

Trail Descriptions:

The 10Km walk is on city streets for a short stretch, but mostly on the Rice Canyon Loop dirt trail which makes for a very peaceful walk away from noisy traffic. It is rated a 1+ due to a medium sized hill in the Glen Abbey Memorial Park.
Not suitable for strollers, wagons, or wheelchairs. Water and rest rooms are available at the start/finish point, but not available along this route.

The 5Km walk circles the Chula Vista Municipal Golf Course and Rohr Park, following a wide dirt and sometimes paved trail that is extremely popular with local residents. One weekends you will see literally hundreds of people walking and jogging along this trail.. It is suitable for strollers, wagons, or wheelchairs. Water and rest rooms are available along this route.

This walk qualifies for Cemetery Stroll credit.

Fees:
Everyone is welcome to participate, and the events are free. For those that wish to receive IVV credit, the fee is $3.00.

You may walk twice in the same day on the same event for the same fee.

These events count for the earning of IVV Achievement Awards.

This walk qualifies for AVA Special Program - Cemetary Stroll credit.

As with all events, there will be no refunds to those not completing the event.

Start Card:
There is no pre-registration, and everyone must obtain a start card and pay the appropriate fee if credit is desired. All start cards must be returned at the completion of the event.

Upon your return, stamp your books if credit is desired.

Remember, only one EVENT CREDIT for the first half year, and one event credit for the second half year may be entered in the event book for each event. You may participate for DISTANCE CREDIT without limit.

IVV credit is $3.00, others free.

Have a pen or pencil to use at the self-checkpoint.

Directions:

From Route 805 – Exit at Bonita Road and head east. Travel 1.8 miles to Bill Casper and turn left. (McDonalds and Vons will be on your right). The library is on the left.
