Take yourself out of the ordinary and spend a few hours in one of nature's wonders - our Fields of Dreams, our Fields of Color.
A place where kids can run and adults can linger - 50 acres of extraordinary color in bloom on a hillside overlooking the Pacific
Ocean, with a special nursery, garden, and gift shop by Armstrong Garden Centers, and festivals throughout the season.
Visit our Miniature Rose Garden - The American Rose Society's highest award for miniature roses,
The Award of Excellence, is presented to cultivars that have proven to be outstanding in designated test gardens throughout
the United States over a two year period. Roses are evaluated on 11 criteria including novelty, bud form, flower form, color opening,
color finishing, substance, habit, quantity of blooms, vigor or renewal, foliage, and appearance along with resistance to insects
and plant diseases.
Visit Our Walk of Fame - The only display of each of the more than 170 All-American Rose selection winners since 1940.
Also enjoy the All American Rose Selection (AARS) garden, the Flower Fields® is one of 130 AARS-accredited public rose
gardens nationwide that tests and displays more than 50 different varieties of roses.
Since 1993 The Flower Fields® have expanded to include displays of new spring flowers for your garden.
These displays and the Artist Garden continue the tradition of bringing the joy and exuberance of color
and nature to our visitors.
Picking up where it left off last year, the All American Rose Garden will continue to delight our visitors.
Today, more than 150,000 people visit the fields each year, many of whom have been returning year after year.
The Flower Fields® continues to operate as a working ranch, and is still the only Ranunculus grower in the
world that allows visitors to walk the fields to experience the flowers up-close.
Highlights:
Carlsbad Mining Company - Our sluice mining activity. Find your polished gem stones using the miner’s old method of sifting sand in water!
Sweet Pea Maze - Find the solution to this one of a kind living maze! Immerse yourself in this living
maze of fragrant and colorful "old fashion" sweet pea blossoms.
Historic Poinsettia Display - Stroll through memory lane, a 1,500 square foot greenhouse filled with
the world famous Ecke poinsettias. Enjoy hundreds of exciting poinsettias in over twenty rare , and unusual varieties.
Learn the history of the world's best selling potted plant - The Poinsettia.
