This is an honor-system, self-serve activity. Thank you for your cooperation.

Start/Stop Times:
This year-round event can be walked daily from January 1 to December 31, 2010.

Access to the library is only available during normal business hours:

Monday & Wednesday: 9:30 am-6 pm
Tuesday & Thursday: 9:30 am-8 pm
Friday & Saturday: 9:30 am-5 pm
Sunday: 1 pm-5 pm

The library is closed on holidays.

Parking:
Available in the library parking lot.

Pets:
Dogs are allowed, on a leash, with clean-up.

Trail Descriptions:

The 10Km walk is on city streets, on paved walkways through Cuyamaca College campus, on a dirt trail through Damon Lane County Park and on a paved walkway in Cottonwood Tree County Park. It is rated a 1+.

Not suitable for wheelchairs due to the dirt trail in Damon Lane County Park. Strollers ok, but very difficult on dirt path. Water and rest rooms are available at the start/finish point, and along this route.

The 5Km walk is on city streets, on paved walkways through Cuyamaca College campus, and on a paved walkway in Cottonwood Tree County Park.

It is suitable for strollers, wagons, and wheelchairs. Water and rest rooms are available along this route.

Fees:
Everyone is welcome to participate, and the events are free. For those that wish to receive IVV credit, the fee is $3.00.

You may walk twice in the same day on the same event for the same fee.

These events count for the earning of IVV Achievement Awards.

This walk qualifies for AVA Special Programs - Museum and Firehouses credit.

As with all events, there will be no refunds to those not completing the event.

Start Card:
There is no pre-registration, and everyone must obtain a start card and pay the appropriate fee if credit is desired. All start cards must be returned at the completion of the event.

Upon your return, stamp your books if credit is desired.

Remember, only one EVENT CREDIT for the first half year, and one event credit for the second half year may be entered in the event book for each event. You may participate for DISTANCE CREDIT without limit.

IVV credit is $3.00, others free.

Have a pen or pencil to use at the self-checkpoint.

Directions:

From I-8 - From the east or west, exit at 2nd Street (Route 54) and head south for 3.8 miles. Turn right on Brabham Street. Turn left on Via Rancho San Diego. The library will be immediately on the left hand side.

From Route 125 – Exit at Route 94 and head east. At the 4 mile point, keep left onto Route 54. At 5.5 mile point, turn left on Brabham Street. Turn left on Via Rancho San Diego. The library will be immediately on the left hand side.
